Make a list of things you need and things you can part with, it is better to do this gradually so you don’t become overwhelmed and give up on your plan.
Create a daily reminder and leave it in a visible place, remind yourself why it’s important for your space to be a safe haven, it could be because you need a space where you can focus, plan or be creative, whatever your reason is, let it motivate you to keep going.
Personally I find that an organised space helps me relax and this is so important to me because it keeps stress at bay.
There is power in spoken and written words so always surround yourself with positivity- this can make all the difference when it comes to parting with or holding onto things. Remind yourself that happiness cannot be bought. If you are dealing with past hurt, you need to heal completely , take as much time as you require ,it is a personal journey and will differ for each person.
