The Best Five Spice Mushroom Risotto
If you are anything like me, you love great tasting meals, but your schedule is always loaded with different things that need to be done, then this recipe is for you- I literally had you in mind while putting this together.
This is a super quick recipe but I promise you , it is full of great flavours.
Ingredients You need For Five Spice Mushroom Risotto
Dried Mushroom Risotto- 2 Cups
Avocado Oil – 1 Tbs
Garlic – 1 clove
Ginger – thumbs size
Scotch bonnet -1 small
Hot water – 2 cups
Chinese five spice
How to cook 5 spice Mushroom Risotto
It is always much easier to get all your ingredients ready before you start cooking. You will need to grate the garlic, ginger and scotch bonnet. Boil your kettle while you grate the fresh ingredients
It is now time to start the cooking process- I recommend cooking with cast iron pans when you can as they lock in flavour quicker, reduce cooking time and promote a healthier way of cooking.
The first step is to add the avocado oil into your pre heated pan, then add in your risotto once the oil is heated. Stir fry for about 3 minutes, then add soy sauce and all the fresh ingredients. Add a pinch of salt.
Add a cup of hot water first and cook for 3 minutes, then add the 2nd cup of hot water after 3 minutes and repeat. Simmer for another 3 minutes.
You can enjoy this dish alone or with meats and salads. I had mine with some sweet potato chips and it was delicious.
